Getting Here
Getting to Diamond Eco Island Resort is easier than you may think. Although remote, it is still easier to get to than many other islands, such as the Mentawi. You can take a ferry or flight to the nearby town and then take a boat to the island. Our team is happy to help you arrange transportation to and from the island. We want to make sure you enjoy your adventure from start to finish!
Option 1
(from Medan)
1. Flight to Singkil

Departure: Board a midday flight from Medan to Singkil at 12:50

Arrival in Singkil: Land at Singkil airport around 1:40pm
3. Speedboat to Diamond Island

Pick-Up: You will be taken from Singkil airport to our speedboat.

Journey: A 2-3 hour ride,

Arrival: Reach Diamond Island approximately 4:30pm
4. Return Trip

Departure from Island: Leave Diamond Island in the morning at 10am.

Flight to Medan: Take an evening flight from Singkil at 1:50PM, ensuring you arrive in Medan by 2:40PM for your connecting flights. (flights are Thursdays)
Availability: This transport schedule is available only on Thursdays
Cost: $150 USD per person, each direction. and includes 20kg luggage (based on 4pax),
Note: If traveling with surfboards it is +$340 per group

(from Medan)
1. Pickup and Journey to Singkil

Airport Pickup: Commence your journey with a pickup from Medan airport at 11 pm.

Van Ride: Travel in comfort with an 8hour private van ride to the harbour in Singkil

Overnight Drive: Arrive in Singkil the next day.
2. Speedboat to Diamond Island

Departure: Board our speedboat at 9:00 AM for a direct transfer to the island. arriving approximatly 11am
3. Return Trip

Departure from Island: Begin your journey back following the same route.

Arrival at Medan: Arrive approximately at 6:00 AM at Medan airport, providing plenty of time for your onward connections.

1. Pickup and Transfer

Airport Pickup: Start with a pickup from Nias airport at 10am

Van Ride: Enjoy a 2-hour private van ride to the speedboat departure point.
2. Speedboat to Diamond Island

Departure Time: Board our speedboat at 12:00 (mid day) for a scenic ride to the island.
3. Return Trip

Departure from Island: Return via the same route back to Nias.
